Thanks for getting back to us @markktm300
Is there a way for you to verify if you have the SD card model number as MB-MC256GA/AM?
I am not certain as to why this is happening.
To further isolate the issue, another SD card needs to be tested on the camera.

Formatting your SD card in the GoPro camera is the best way to remove old video and photos files. When you format your SD card in your camera the original file structure and partitions are restored so that the SD card will continue to properly communicate with the camera.
In this regard, try formatting the card on a computer.
Then, proceed with a manual firmware update for the camera.
This corrects any issues encountered with the previous installation.
Please follow these steps:
- Go to the Update page and choose your HERO7 camera.
- Under "Other ways to update" at the base of the page, click "Update your camera manually."
- Enter your Serial Number and other requested information, click Next Step.
- Click "Download Update."
- Click "Click here to download firmware."
- Follow the steps on the screen for detailed instructions for your operating system.
Let us know how it goes.

Were you able to format the card using a computer?
Would you mind sending us a picture of the camera's LCD screen showing the error?
