As far as the Quik app, it's not a Windows Store app. To use on a computer you need the Desktop app from the GoPro website.
The Desktop app is NOT the same as the Mobile app and does not offer the same features, including the ability to control the camera settings.

Thanks for responding. My GoPro Hero Session is a NGHTMARE to use. I am not even able to download the GoPro app!? I can only load the Quik app which doesn't apparently allow me to change the settings on the camera.... can you give me a link to GoPro app?

Quik is used for editing. What phone are you using?
The GoPro App is available on PlayStore and the App Store.
You should be able to download the app based on your phone's platform.

I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016). When I look in Google Play store there are some 10 apps offered I have no idea which to use. Can I download a controller to my laptop running Widows 10??

Hi...I'm told the app is not compatible with my phone - a Samsung J3. Here's just half the apps I'm offered...all appear to be rubbish. Not at all impressed with GoPro. My wife wasted £150 on this camera for my birthday...
