How do you do it and stay in business? 4 and 6 and they stop working after a littel while of little use in basic environments. The camera dont turn on, get really hot, turn on sometimes, say SD care error for new cards, have to format on computers before. How is your stock not zero. Unbelieveable. Terrible customer service. Don't ever buy from them. Why spend so much money and have to do so much work after the purchase.Might as well use it as a baseball because you get a single use out of the camera whether you use it as a camera or a baseball. POC.

Sorry to hear you are having such issues with your GoPro experience. I still have my first GoPro (GoPro Hero 2) and it's still going strong. I also have 2 x GP Hero 4 Blacks and they are working just fine, 2 x GoPro Hero 6 blacks and 2 x GoPro Hero Fusions, all these camera's work just fine with no issues. I've also looked after my camera's and used the best practises for keeping them operational. So I'm surprised that both your 4 & 6 have stopped working, can you maybe describe the issues your having so we can see if they can be fixed?
Also with new SD cards, they are designed to work in a multitude of devices, however there's no way for the manufacturer to know which device they will be used in, so they give them a basic format only. Digital camera's, action cams, phones, tablets... they all use their own proprietry form of file storage, so while they could use NTSF or FAT32, they block sizes they use could be very different in order to make them work as fast and as reliably as possible. This means that you should always format your card in the device before use in order to make it fully compatible. This is a standard.

HD HERO - still works great
HERO2 x2 - (actually only have one, lost the other at sea). I did have to do the "freezer" technique once, but it's still working great (just used it yesterday to do an extended time lapse with the battery back pack)
HERO3 Silver - I don't use it much anymore, but it still works fine.
HERO3 Black - Used daily as a dash cam
HERO3+ Black - Years of great use. Currently used on my 3DR Solo drone
HERO4 Silver - Gave to my eldest son. He's currently using it on his Karma drone
HERO4 Session - Used daily as my wife's dash cam
HERO5 Session - My youngest child uses it often, especially on his Hot Wheels Zoom In
HERO5 Black - Used on my Karma drone
HERO6 Black - Used for surfing and as a back up/loner camera for mountain biking, ATV riding, mountain climbing, and B-roll at events
Fusion - Google maps, real estate virtual tours, and family outings
HERO6 Black - used pretty much daily as my main family camera and action camera, FPOV shots at events, and capturing just about anything and everything else.
So, to answer the OP's question, is probably the millions of people like me that keep them in business.
However, with that being said, it is unfortunate that you are having issues. You should really reach out to the GoPro Support Team. I'm sure they will be happy to help you the best that they can.
