Hot battery [ New ]

I just got Gopro Hero 7 Black. The battery is getting very hot. Anything to worry about?

Hello, @rodoe. When does the battery get hot? Is it when the camera is recording? Is it when the battery is being charged? Are you using the recommended charger? Do you see any visible damage to the battery? Is it an original GoPro battery that came in the camera package?

The battery is heating, while charging in the Hero7. I just got the GoPro as a present in original package. So I charged the originsl battery while in the camera.
Would it be better to use an external charger?
Also when I I have the camera running, it feels getting warm.

The camera feeling warm is not unusual. It should not become too hot to touch though. 

There should not be an issue with charging the battery while in the camera for as long as you use the recommended charger and that you use the original cable that came with the camera.
