Horizontal lines at the bottom pink green

[ New ]

Hi, while testing my new Go Pro Hero 9 today I have noticed that there is a narrow band at the bottom of the video, like a pink/green horizontal line. Anybody has experienced that? is there a fix? see pictures attached

I used Night Time lapse mode, the original 64 gb card provided by Go Pro, and the camera was updated to latest firmware.

Thank you for your help

Hi @ahmedk31

Where are you playing the files back?

See if the same is observed when using other applications. Ex. VLC Media Player

You may also test this with the GoPro App.

Thanks!

Re: Horizontal lines at the bottom pink green

Hi @aragon1006

I initially used GoPro Quik desktop application version 2.7.0.945.

I did try other applications like VLC and the problem is not observed.

Note: if I export the videos using GoPro Quik (see attached picture), then the lines will always appear, even if I play the video with other tools. I contacted the support and provided feedback on the issue.

It seems like the camera is fine,

Thanks for your help

Quik is discontinued software that is no longer supported and hasn't been updated in over 2 years at this point.  The last camera it supported was the GoPro Hero 7.  So it's not fully compatible with the GoPro Hero 8 or GoPro Hero 9 (and never will be).  You should stop using old outdated unsupported discountinued software.
