It's like Ragnor posted above DISABLE AUTO LOW LIGHT setting for now and that should solve the freezing issue until GoPro decides to actually care about it's customers and reputation, and FIX the bug (OR disable and REMOVE the Auto Low Light setting!)

May I know what SD card brand and model are you using and the exact settings you're using?
You can try to install firmware manually by following the manual update steps: https://gopro.com/help/articles/how_to/software-update-instructions-for-hero7-cameras

I update 1.70 throught Quik, because GoPro App on Android can't update my camera and always show error before downloading.
It really very annoying, but i am not complaining about it.

Hello @sunnydusk2040. If available, try using one of the cards here https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considerations . The SD card you identified is not among the recommended ones. Let us know how it works out.Thanks!
