Hero8 won’t connect to any device

Hi,

 

I'm new to the GoPro scene. I got a new Hero8 about 4-5 months ago. It was working great and it still seems to video and take photos fine but will not connect to any device at all. It use to be fine and never had an issue, would always connect straight away. I have tried the trouble shooting guide on the GoPro support website and still no good. Another thing I have noticed is that the little red power light stays on even after turning it off and obviously turns off when it drains the battery.

 

Has anyone else had these issues?

Hi @adroithero58812

 

Press and hold the Mode button for 10 seconds to get rid of the red light.

If it's still the same, please try re-flashing the software. Follow the manual update steps on https://gopro.com/en/us/update/hero8-black

 

If connecting the camera to a computer, make sure MTP is selected when doing a file transfer.

If connecting the camera to your phone, make sure that the app is up to date.
