Re: Hero7Black getting Stuck and OverHeating
[ New ]That card should be fine.
For best results (not mandatory, but seems to be the most reliable) try the following:
1) Download the Manual update to your computer and extract the UPDATE folder
2) Using a USB/SD adapter, insert your card into your computer and perform a FULL (not Quick) format
3) Copy the UPDATE folder (not UPDATE.zip) to the blank SD
4) Eject the card and insert in your camera. Power on using the side Mode button
5) Once the update is complete, go to Preferences>Reset and format the card in the camera
6) Go back to Preferences>Reset and do a Factory Reset
7) In camera video settings, change to 1080p/60fps and turn Auto Low light OFF
8) In Preferences>Display change orientation from Auto to either UP or Down (depending on how you mount your camera)
9) Do not delete media from the card in the camera until you are done recording for the day and are ready to offload your media
10) Always format the card in the camera before using the camera for the day
11) If you are going to use the Quick Capture feature, first turn the camera on using the side Mode button and leave the camera on for about a minute (take a photo if you like). Turn the camera off and it should be ready for Quick Capture.
12) Periodically perform a FULL format of your card in your computer and do a factory reset of the camera (always format again in the camera).

Re: Hero7Black getting Stuck and OverHeating
[ New ]Hi @asiride
What SD card are you using?
Please see if resetting the camera will work. Reset Camera Settings
If it's still the same, proceed with a manual software update. https://gopro.com/update/
Let us know how it goes.
Other users also suggest turning the AUTO LOW LIGHT option off.
Let us know how it goes.
You may also reach out to our Support Team for assistance through https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs
Thanks!

Re: Hero7Black getting Stuck and OverHeating
[ New ]Hello @aragon1006
Thanks for your valuable suggestions. Regarding the steps, you suggested, here's a sequential reply to them -
What SD card are you using? Samsung EVO64GB (suggested as a Bundle purchase, while purchasing the camera from Amazon India)
Please see if resetting the camera will work. - Done twice, problem still remains and relapses.
If it's still the same, proceed with a manual software update - This I shall try today and revert here.
Turning the AUTO LOW LIGHT option off - shall try this as well, and let you know here.
You may also reach out to our Support Team for assistance through - I tried this in the first place before putting it up here in the Forum. However, this didn't work for me very well. The customer support email addresses, which I had and from where I have received technical support earlier for my Hero4Silver, kept on returning automated responses and asking me to try the chat options. I tried that too, but it kept on saying "Option not available for you" . I even tried the India contact numbers, as given...even that didn't connect.
So I shall try the steps as you've mentioned as pretty much my last resort.
Many Thanks
