I followed this link to the list of sd cards:
https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considerations#list1
And I ended up purchasing the Samsung EVO Select 128GB.
It hasnt even been in the camera a full day and it overheats in both 4k 30fps and in 1080p 60fps.
Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear that @livinonedge
This might not be a SD Card issue.
Small insight, the GoPro Original Team likes using Lexur SD Cards.
So capturing in High Frame rates and high resolutions also can over heat
the camera very easily and often for many user also happens when Protune mode is enabled.
And also the battery heat is another factor how long are you trying to capture?
