I just got a hero7 black for Christmas which I was really excited to use. As soon as I got it out of the box I needed to remove the battery to get the serial number to register the camera and with the slightest tug the tab on the battery came right off. This was the least of my issues. I had to use a butter knife to pry the battery out to a point where I could pull it out but no damage was done to the battery. Once I got the serial number and finished registering the camera I put the battery in and the camera would not cut on. I pulled the battery back out and put it in and tried again and it worked. Then I did not touch the camera for a couple of weeks once the holidays were over and when I finally pulled it out to start using it it would not cut on. When on charge it says there is no battery in the camera but there is. I have tried taking it out and putting it back in but nothing is working. For such an expensive camera this is insane.
