Hero6 records video in 15 minute increments

Just bought GoPro Hero 6. I perform science shows and bought camera to record my shows. But the GoPro records for 15 minutes or so and then starts a new file so the recording in not congruous. How can I record my hour long show in one video recording? Thanks!

This article should answer your question https://gopro.com/help/articles/question_answer/GoPro-Camera-File-Chaptering-Information

You'll need to merge the files together with an editor. If you don't have one already, here are some to take a look at and try (all are free):

1) DaVinci Resolve (Professinal Editor)

2) VSDC Video Editor

3) HitFilm Express

Well, i try constructive answer. It might be split because of 4GB chunks (if card is formatted to FAT32 or if it is done regardless the FS.

4000 ÷ (15*60) • 8 is 35 Mbps

That’s interesting... hadn’t thought about that though I’m pretty sure I formatted my card the first time I loaded it into my GoPro. Will give that a try.
