Hi, I purchased last week and updated to Firmware 1.60 this evening. Nothing in SuperView mode is working, everytime I start the camera in any of the modes below marked "fail", the camera freezes. When Field of View (FOV) is wide format it fails in a few modes, when FOV is SuperView it fails in all modes.
I had a similar issue with my Hero4 and went through numerous cards. After 3 replaced cameras, it finally worked well. GoPro support, please advise if I should return my camera for replacement, or if this can infact be updated with future releases of FirmWare updates.
The table below highlights what is working and failing.
|Version 1.60 - SanDisk Extreme Pro - U3/XCII 32GB||FPS|

I would recommend running though the steps in this article to see if we can get that camera up and running:
If you still experience some issues after that with the camera get in touch with our Support Team directly: https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs

Thank you for the reply. These are all very basic steps and I have performed them multiple times. This evening I purchased a new microSDCX SanDisk Extreme, U3 & v30 rated. I even tested it for i/o transfer rates and was getting 83 MB/s read and 67 Mb/s write speeds. This is the fastest card on the market and cost me another $55.00.
The camera still fails in all SuperView modes with the 1.60 update.
I will call you tomorrow. If we cannot resolve, this is coming back and I am going with the Garmin or Suunto GPS watch and will simply overlay GPS data on my Hereo4. BTW, the Hero4 took over 12 months to get working and a few hundred in memory cards.
Advice to development - the Hero6 is a remarkable machine. However, if SuperView does not work, then simply don't enable the functionality. Does anyone on the world have a working Hero6 with Superview?

Yes. I have the exact same problem. Tech support keeps saying that it is because the memory card is too slow. But like you, I have the fastest cards on the market with 90mb/s write speeds.

Gunnar, I was just about to go buy a top of the line SanDisk Extreme Pro with a published R/W speed of 100 MB/s. What I have now is SanDisk Extreme which is coming it at around 67 MB/s. I am curious what card you have (before I go buy another)?
While GoPro suggests mine is actually supported (https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considerations) it does not work.

I have tried all these:
Sandisk Extreme Pro V30 64GB
Sandisk Extreme V30 64GB
Sandisk Extreme V30 32GB
Samsung Pro Plus 64GB
Lexar Pro 633 32GB
None of them work. Funny thing is, that if you do a full clean format on them, you can record one video in Superview. after than any other time you press the button it freezes imediatly.
Very strange. Definietly a firmware issue. If it was the card or a hardware issure you should not be able to make it work for one time after doing a full format or installing a new card, then have it crash on the second recording try.

That is an impressive list. This card (SanDisk Extreme Pro XCii) will be my last and final purchase related to this cause. I don't know if GoPro supports XCii, but the SadDisk Extreme Pro with XCii interface was the only card that solved similar challenges with the Hero4. Here is a link for what I will try:
GoPro Support - over to you. Does SuperView work (or NOT)?

I did not encounter superview problems.
SanDisk Extreme V30 A1 128GB
just wondering if GoPro can take advantage of UHS-II....I think not.
I do not want to bother you, just asking...did you update the camera manually?
