Hero6 Stabilisation (bouncing) issue

Hi guys

Does anybody else has such an issue like this? Please watch the horizon or generally the smoothness of the video.

The horizon just keep bouncing around and sometimes it looks like dropped frames.

It was recored by using chestie but for example the last scene was handheld and you can see the abrupt jumps/drop frames as well.

Recorded at 4k 30 fps with stabilisation on

I'm using this sd card

The last shot in the video is handheld just panning. You can see that problem happening there as well.

Alternatively you can check my other video where I can see the same issue when walking with the camera in hand.

Don't use SanDisk Ultra. It's a terrible card for GoPro cameras. Also, why such a large card? Anything over 64GB is overkill.

I don't know if the card is having any effect on your current issue but I can guarantee you will have issues down the line with it.

What would you recommend for Hero6?

Re: Hero6 Stabilisation (bouncing) issue

Personally I use a Samsung Pro Select 64GB and Lexar 1000X 32 & 64GB.

GoPro tested (and therefore recommends the SanDisk Extreme/Extreme Plus/Extreme Pro UHS Video Speed Class 30 (V30) - ≥32GB

I personally have had, and have encountered with others in GoPro forums, issues when using SanDisk cards. However, there are some who swear by them. That being said, it is universally accepted that the SanDisk Ultra should never be used.

agree with the ultra  disagree with usinga 64gb and fast card, you are entitled to get a 128gb card. just make sure its on gopro recommendated lists  reasons why we used to not want a higher cap c ard. crashing losing the card. top dollar and expensive.

Oner main reason the  bat will run dry before the card gets full

Re: Hero6 Stabilisation (bouncing) issue

Hi guys

Thanks for the advices.

Now I got it. The Ultra does not even state what is the writing speed and as its much cheaper than extreme I'm sure its also slower.

And I assume thats where the issue is. The Sandisk Extreme is what I need. If I'm correct the Hero6 shoots at 60mb and can go up to 70mbps

I will go with Sandisk Extreme Pro V30 which is up to 275mbps read and 100mbps write.
