Hero6 Charging Problems: Taking a long time for a charging
[ New ]Hero6 Charging: Taking a long time for a full charge
Today I have received the product, but the other on the charging problem too,
I received the product immediately after the product charge and related settings.
But found that the charge has been 4 hours, the battery is still in 2% of the situation, while the battery is too low, failed to update the equipment for the FIRMWARE. Please help me solve the above problems.
P.S. I have removed the packaging box. To return to the replacement product schedule, it may only be possible to return the component.

Re: Hero6 Charging Problems: Taking a long time for a charging
[ New ]I just buy a dual hero charger and put 2 batteries (1 hero 6) testing the charging .both result can charging now.
To be conclusion of the case , I think maybe the camera firmware version problem, because my hero 6 is v1.00.
I will try it after the full charging complete.

Re: Hero6 Charging Problems: Taking a long time for a charging
[ New ]hero6 can not be directly through the one machine type for charging action. I am still looking for a solution, but the temporary viable approach is to buy gopro hero 5 external charger for pure battery crossover, this method can solve the battery shortage and can not update the firmware situation.
It is estimated that gopro hero6 should be integrated or need to supply a larger external socket to be able to fully charge the mixer battery. Generally in the past 5v 2A may not much. At least 5v 3A can be undetermined
Because the use of the hero 5 dual battery charger. Pure trial with 5v2A charger can be successfully filled. But once the one machine will have a charging symbol, but can not continue to fully charged demand. Hope gopro can solve this problem. if not cover this main bug. it must crash the best sports camera sound effects.

Re: Hero6 Charging Problems: Taking a long time for a charging
[ New ]hi,
could be the firmware.
although I use the dual cahrger to charge the batteries, I made a test today, version v01.51.
Charged the battery from 95% directly on camera.
used a no name 4 port USB charger capable to a max 6A. I do not think one port can more than 1.5A.
at 95% the battery icon turned green and with a charging sign inside.
I turned the camera off.
Led on, steady.
I checked the camera after a while, turn the camera on. (see the picture).
97% and battery icon green.
I turned the camera off.
Led on.
when the Led turned off, I checked the camera.
100%, white icon with that charging sign....
so seems that it charges.
I'll make now a test from 15%.
it is important to me also as I use karma grip that in theory charge the camera.
I'll keep you posted....

Re: Hero6 Charging Problems: Taking a long time for a charging
[ New ]I did some testing with a GoPro HERO6 Black on firmware 1.51 and 1.60, using the USB/USB-C cable that came with the GoPro and 9 different USB ports outputting between 1 and 3 amps.
2.4 A = green
2.1 A and lower = white
Exceptions:
- QuickCharge 3.0 (1.5 to 3.0 A) = white
- Fully charged = white
- Power off whilst charging then power on again = white (need to disconnect charger then reconnect to get green)
On the 1.51 firmware, the GoPro was extremely slow to charge on some ports and there was no obvious correlation with the output of the chargers. Possible firmware issue fixed by 1.60.
On both firmwares, the battery that came with the GoPro will never become fully charged - it reaches 98% whilst continuing to "charge". No issues with a different battery. Battery fault?
