Hero6 Black live stream to Periscope [ New ]

Hi, can I use the latest GoPro Hero6 Black to live stream via @PeriscopeCo (or another) app? Meaning, can I can use my Apple iPhone to streaming straight into the #Periscope App (and then Twitter/Facebook)? I know it works just fine with the Hero 4 I had but wanted to see if Periscope and you, GoPro, figured out how to make it work for your latest, most expensive ;-) camera. Thank You! Cheers!

I just tested it and was successful using Periscope with my GoPro Hero6 Black. Was able to record on GoPro and stream simultaneously. Just connect phone to camera via GoPro app then start up Periscope and it should recognize it. It was very easy for me to get it to work.

My cell reception wasn’t good and the stream was glitchy was but it connected just fine.

I am not sure about HERO6 Compatibility but you may try the steps in this article:

Yeah, I saw that but the HERO5 won't work with Periscope Live streaming (only the HERO4), and before I spent $400 on the new HERO6 Black I wanted to here a Yes or No on Periscope compatibility. Thanks

You can LS with your IOS app periscope and gopro.  What are you doing to have these problems . If you do not mind me asking?

I hear ya. when you mentioned the Hero 5 is why I replied..  IOS app and  hero 5 works for me.

I to have this question as I want to be able to live stream sporting events through my IOS but don’t want to spend the money if the gopro hero 6 Black can’t do it... If anyone out there with experience on this exact issue that could help it would be greatly appreciated.

only works with the older Hero4 at the moment. The Hero5 or Hero5 Session or the the latest Hero6 will NOT work with Periscope (verified by GoPro customer support after multiple emails/attempts to get a real answer)
