Hero5

The day after I got the camera the screen went black but still gave feedback and stil connected to my phone with no problem. As a couple weeks pass the feedback from camera stopped but still connected and recorded. Just no screen, so i go in today to try and fix this problem now my camera won't connect to my phone and the screen is still black. What do I do now?

Please try to follow manual update steps posted here: https://gopro.com/help/articles/how_to/Software-Update-Instructions-for-HERO5-Cameras

Make sure to follow manual update steps for HERO5 Black. 

 

Reformat your SD card first.

It does not say that i need an update nor lets me reformat my card.

Hi @tdottmac,

 

 

You need to reformat your SD card on your computer using SD card adapter. 

 

Please follow the manual update steps on that link or just follow the steps posted here: https://gopro.com/update

After that choose your camera model. 

 

From there enter your serial number and email address and there will be series of instruction that you need to follow.
