Hero5 Session appears to compress the files on the camera.

[ New ]

When the video files are downloaded to the computer they have double blue arrow on them and they run jerky in the editor. Using Vegas 15. If I run the video directly from the camera it plays jerky, so this compression seems to be taking place on the camera. Have already done the latest updates to the camera, Vegas and the video card (NVidia M4000). I have replaced the SD as well. (two SD cards worked fine before this problem.

Jay, Thanks for the reply. I have solved the problem and its not the Gopro. I have a new monitor and I foolishly let the software set it up. The software had set the refresh rate at 24Hz for some reason. Once I changed the setting to 60HZ (correct setting) everything is working fine.

Kind regards

Hi @dougattrenholmebar,

HERO5 Session don't have screen.

How do you play the video?

If you're using your phone it's due to the low resolution file.

But once downloaded the file should be fine.

Also can you please post a screenshot of the double blue arrow?

Or just upload the file to any cloud storage such as dropbox or google drive.

We'd like to check the file if that would be fine.

Please also provide the exact brand and model of your SD card.

Thanks!

-Jay
