Hero5 Session Locked up

I just got a hero5 session.  It is completely frozen and shows that it is still plugged in to the computer.  It isn't.  All functions are frozen and I can't do anythuing.  It won't power off either.  What do I do?

@jacc76 and @snowybluff416 - A good first step with these types of issues is to make sure the firmware is updated on the camera. Doing a manual update is a really reliable way to get that done. Instructions can be found at the bottom of the page at https://gopro.com/update/hero5_session.

I've been having the same problem with my session 5, but only once I updated the software it froze and will not let me do anything, but the capture app says it's "all set".
