Hero4 Silver - Video stops recording. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

When I try to video, the camera freezes up after a certain amount of time.  Sometimes it is as long as 17 minutes, other times it is after only a few seconds.  I am using the SanDisk Extreme Plus 46GB card which is on the recommended list for GoPro.  Here is what I have done thus far with no success:

 

  • Took the SD card back to BestBuy and exchanged for a new card
  • Re-Formatted the card multiple times both in the camera and from my Mac
  • Reset camera to factory defaults
  • Changed various video settings (currently at 1080 Medium 30FPS)
  • Manually updated camera-- I did an manual update via the update page where you download a zip file, unzip locally, and transfer to SD card

 

I am at my wits end.  It is still within warranty so maybe I can exchange it.  Any ideas?

Thank you for responding!  Yes, I have used multiple cards so it seems my only option is to reach out to support.
