Hero Session5 getting hot during auto upload

Hi,
I'm sitting here at home having set up my new Session5's auto upload function. It says that the unit must be plugged in whilst doing it which is fine but because there are quite a few files on the card it is taking quite some time. The unit is getting so hot it's almost too hot to handle (queue a song!) and I'm a bit worried this will damage the card which obvioulsy needs to be in there to upload - Is this "normal"
Cheers peeps

Hello @dazman63,
When performing certain functions, cameras tend to get warm especially when plugged into a power source. However, the temperature should not be high enough so as to damage the SD card. Have you already tried manually updating your camera? Please have a go at it and see if the heat issue is resolved. Also, please make sure that you are using the recommended SD card as identified here: https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considerations
Thanks,
Marius
