I have a Hero Session and had it setup with remote and app before. It worked perfectly. I haven't used it in a while and when I went to turn everything on, I couldn't get the Wi-Fi to turn on. I tried resetting the Wi-Fi and even tried updating the camera. I still can't seem to turn on the Wi-Fi. When I navigate to the remote and press the shutter button it beeps but doesn't do anything. Please help

35+ views and nobody can help? This camera went from being the best camera I ever owned to a piece of garbage. Customer support is a joke. This camera has never been dropped or abused, yet it just stops working. I will never buy another GoPro product or recommend to anyone.

@toughcave7880 - Not sure I'm following what's going on. It sounds like you weren't able to turn on the wifi in the camera, but then you went to the remote (do you mean the app?) and pressed the shutter button, but nothing happened. If the signal from the camera isn't turned on, there's nothing for the remote or app to sync to.
Are you able to get the wifi signal from the camera turned on? If so, are you seeing that signal in your phone's wifi menu?

The camera will record and take pictures by pressing the shutter button on the camera itself. The problem is I need to use either the remote I purchased for it or the app on my phone. I can’t connect either to the camera. I’ve tried resetting the camera’s WiFi, but the WiFi on the camera won’t turn on. After navigating to “APP” or “RC” and pressing the shutter button, the camera beeps once and then does nothing. The remote that I purchased and the phone app just waits for the camera to connect.
I’ve watched several YouTube videos and read several other posts and it seems everyone is having the same problem.
