Hero 8 Replacement - Wait Time 35 days and counting

I was excited about using this action camera. I purchased in early July. I rode and filmed for two weeks beofre the camera just stopped uploading (41B Error).


At first, GoPro was eager to help. They asked me to send my camera back which I did in July. Fast forward to two weeks later and I had not heard from GoPro.


I reached out to Customer Service who informed me cameras were back ordered until August 14. Wow. In the meantime, GoPro is still selling Hero8s to new customers at $100 off.


August 14 rolls around and no update from GoPro. I call back and nothing. No ETA on the cameras or  a refund. 


What kind of deceptive business practice is this? 


Do you all usually continue to pump out faulty products without satisfying your committments to current customers?

Do you treat your employees the same way?


The service here has been atrocious and arguably non-existent.
