Hero 8: Protune (Video) wie aktivieren/deaktivieren?
[ New ]Hallo,

[ New ]
For the HERO8 Black, Protune is always ON.
You can restore all Protune settings to their defaults by tapping in the settings menu.
Thanks!

Re: Hero 8: Protune (Video) wie aktivieren/deaktivieren?
[ New ]There is a slight difference between ProTune on older camera's and the Protune on the Hero 8. That being that on the older camera's, Protune automatically enabled recording at a high bit rate. On the Hero 8, the bit rate is set to low by default.
So a higher bitrate will use up more storage space on your memory card so this is where you'll see the main difference when you're recording video.

Re: Hero 8: Protune (Video) wie aktivieren/deaktivieren?
[ New ]Protunes was originally a way to hide some settings (e.g. shutter speed, white balance, iso) away from the user and set them to an automatic setting so protunes was just another name for "Advanced Settings". At that time alot of users just wqanted to press a button and have the camera record stuff.
Protunes also upped the bit rate once it was turned on.
Now alot of Action Camera users are more used to having access to the control and being able to changfe the settings - haveing seperate protunes menu makes less sence when more people want to take control of the settings.

Re: Hero 8: Protune (Video) wie aktivieren/deaktivieren?
[ New ]to actually answer this question here is the answer.
go to menu of the screen and in the menu of the type of profile you are shooting in cinematic-standard-activity slomo etc" tap the one you are using say cinematic on the right side the symbol that looks like pencil "edit button" tap that. Then swipe up to go to protune and you will see all settings for protunes like bit rate then shuter then ev comp white balance iso min and iso max then sharpness color profile then raw audio etc... be sure to note you can scroll down for more of the protunes settings while in the protunes settings menu.
