Hero 7 black won't turn on

I've tried taking out the battery and connecting it to an alternate power source. I'm using an approved SD card. I've held down the mode button for 10-30 seconds. Took the battery out charged it and put it back in. Still nothing. I can't get the light to do anything but blink a few times every so often. Even I connect it to my laptop I get nothing. Need some serious advice as I'm overseas till November.

This has fixed my issue of the gopro not turning on, but now the lcd screen will not come on.  I have done a manual updated and a factory reset, but the screen is still black.  Though it does cycle through modes and preferences when I touch it.

If the touch screen is not working, ensure that the the SD card is not inserted between the SD card slot and the battery as this can put pressure on the back of the touch display.
