Video and LCD output displays the video feed correctly.
However when I connect the gopro via HDMI out to a monitor, the picture is turned 180 degrees upside down.
Since a top-down mount with a monitor connected was always working well with my Hero 4 and Hero 5 models, I assume a software defect.
Gopro support, Can you please help?

Does it happen to all GoPro photos that you have taken? Does the same orientation of photos show when you view them through a computer?
How was the Landscape Lock set when you put the camera upside down? How is the idle view projected on the screen?
If you have not done it yet, try manually updating the camera firmware and see how it goes. There are instructions here to guide you.

Unlike with the Hero 4,5,6 cameras, the HDMI output doesn’t rotate, and the video feed is subsequently displayed upside down on the connected monitor.
I am on the latest firmware.
Landscape lock doesn’t solve it.
I would consider this as a defect and would appreciate if you could route the incident to your dev team.
