Hero 7 - Protune doesn't turn on [ New ]

When I turn on my Gopro hero 7, protune is automatically turned off.

I can't get protune on unless I use the app. Turning it on with de display doesn't work.

But when I turn off the device and than turn it back on, protune is off again.

When I switch to photomode and back to videomode, protune gets on too.

Is there someone else with the same problem? What can I do about it?

Did you complete the firmware update manually?

If it was not done manually, we recommend taking this step as this usually corrects issues encountered with the previous installation.

Protunesdoes not work on all modes, so if you are on video mode, is it  from the camera going on and staying on after you turn of the camer aand back on again?

If Yes then you are good.  if no, then GoPro Mod wants you to   do a firmware update of the latest FW 1.51 manually load it, and let the camera  do its job and retry again.   If it does not.  fix the issue at all.  Then please contact a rep at gopro .cm support/contactus    oat the site. or regional number

Yes, it does work, but only if I turn protune on with the app.

I can't turn it on with the display.

I've updated yesterday to the latest fw so that did't fix the problem.

I've updated again, this time manually.

That fixed my problem, thanks a lot.

Somehow updating with the app or manually isn't the same. Didn't knew that.

Thank you for posting back, @elti90. Great to know that you can now access the Protune settings. There are factors that could sometimes interfere with the update through the app. A manual update is always highly recommended. Best regards!
