Hero 7: How to see if Hypersmooth or standard stabilization

My initial question got highjacked https://community.gopro.com/t5/Cameras/Overview-Video-Modes-Hero-7-Black/td-p/239401

But I have a further question: as I still have not found a list about video modes and stabilization options and it has been suggested to just switch modes with the camera. Now I have the Hero 7 but I could not find where I will see if the stabilization for a video mode is Hypersmooth or regular stabilization.

Re: Hero 7: How to see if Hypersmooth or standard stabilization

Sorry - I just wonder what I had done that I hadn't seen that. Seems like I looked for the info on a screen after it has been set and I mainly used the app to change resolution...

Re: Hero 7: How to see if Hypersmooth or standard stabilization

Hey guys!

I came here to look for information on the Hypersmooth thing, and ALMOST found it. The table linked here is half of what I wanted to know...
Because it doesn't list which modes are available with each resolutions and FPS.
I'm especially wanting to find out about 4K 60FPS. Does that work in linear, wide, superview....
But it'd be nice to know about ALL of them, of course.

I'll link it again for convenience.

"I'm especially wanting to find out about 4K 60FPS. Does that work in linear, wide, superview...."

4K 60FPS at 16:9 is only Wide. It can have Hypersmooth ("Auto") or no stabilization. Hypersmooth works great.

When you *do not* have an option on the screen in the camera for a given resolution and frame rate that means there is not an option. If there are options for agiven frame rate and FPS you will see them. Very simple. Very logical.

Re: Hero 7: How to see if Hypersmooth or standard stabilization

The resolution-frame rate combination of 4K, 60 fps only has the Wide FOV, @gmrod. This article provides detailed information on available resolutions for the HERO7 cameras, including available FOV options per resolution. Hope this helps.

Re: Hero 7: How to see if Hypersmooth or standard stabilization

I get that.

I don't have the HERO 7 yet, hence I can't see what shows up on the menu or not.

One of the reasons I started this thread was to know if it does what I want it to do BEFORE buying it.

But thank you!
