Hero 7 External Mic Causing Out of Sync Audio

I believe when I turned ON quick capture, is the first time I had a sync problem. I have turned it off. I’m hoping that resolves it until GoPro can replicate and Fix this pesky issue!

NO, that's not the problem, its the STABILIZATION.

I tested this last week.  Once STABILIZATION is turned off, the EXTERNAL mic adapter works just fine, in sync with the video.

BUT, then I don't have STABILIZATION.  

PLEASE GOPRO FIX THIS ISSUE

It's just hypersmooth resolutions that only support standard eis also work fine

My guess is the hypersmooth is taxing the cpu and that is causing a delay in starting the audio process.

Or the taxed cpu causes a handshake issue with the mic adapter and that causes a delay in starting the audio process. Either way it could probably easily be fixed by the firmware developers.

So, I had to play all these games to actually get a mic adapter

I use it and  the videos are worthless because of sync issues.

I then discover this has been an issues for nearly a year?

And the solution  to get the pricey external mic adapter to work is turn off the extra features on the camera which was the reason you chose and  paid the extra money for it?

I like the camera, but these other issues are making me debate what my next camera will be

Seems to be fixed with v1.8 released on 8/14/19
