So I went ahead and upgaded to the Hero 7 Black, I have manually installed the latest firmware.
When I left the camera last night there was 90% battery remaining so I turned the camera off and went to bed. This morning the camera was fully drained to 0% and required charging.
Voice commands were turned off, beeps were turned off, is there a setting that could be draining the battery and has anyone else experienced this?
Furthermore the battery doesn't charge to 100%, it goes to 93% then stops.

and just to clarify as mentioned I manually installed the latest firmware yesterday, and I am using a Sandisk Extreme Pro card which never had any issues with my Hero 6 Black.
So please don't give me the usual nothing answers of "manual update and check your SD card."

A slight drain is okay. However, you say that your camera is at 90%, turned it off and woke up to a fully drained camera that is a different story.
There are a number of things that can cause the battery to drain even when it is switched off. You can try and check the following and see if the issue still persists:
1. Turn Wifi Off - this is the most common reason for battery drain. Even when the camera is off; leaving the wifi on will suck the power of the system as it will continuously seek for signal.
2. Make sure that the camera is on the lates software update. - Even if your camera is on the latest software; it would be best to do a MANUAL UPDATE. It will reinstall the complete software of the camera to ensure that everything is perfectly working. You can check the troubleshooting steps found in this link: https://gopro.com/update/hero7-black
3. Make sure that you are using a recommended SD Card - You can find the list on this link: https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considerations
4. Turn GPS Off
If it still does not resolve the issue. Please contact the support hotline: https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs
I hope this helps.

Yes the drain was from full to 0% despite the camera being turned off (it also is set to automatically shut itself off after 15 minutes of inactivity).
1 & 4) I will try turning the WIFI and GPS off as these were left on. Although I would find this strange as again with my Hero 6 Black I never had this issue and the WIFI and GPS were left on indefinitely.
2 & 3) As I pointed out, I have manually updated to the latest firmware and am using a recommended SD card. This is definitely not the issue.

Just to clarify, I'm fairly sure this is an issue with the camera/firmware as I can now see this has happened to others on this forum and there are multiple YouTube videos documenting Battery issues.
Can you please bring this to the attention of GoPro ASAP so we can have a firmware update to fix this.
