Hero 7 Black, Video playback out of sync with audio
[ New ]My Hero 7 Black is having sync issues with playback.
Footage seems jerky and the video plays slower than the audio. Audio is realtime and the vidoe get sout of sync.
I am using a Sandisk Extreme SD card. Does this in all video modes. I have also tried copying the file to the SSD hard drive in my windows 10 i7 machine and used different media player. All have the same issue.
I bought the hero5 a few years back and it had issues out of the box putting me off gopro. The Hero 7 looked like the camera to regain my support. I hope this is an easy solution.

[ New ]
Sorry for any troubles caused @quickpike54030
What resolution/fps was used?
How are the videos when played back on the camera?
Would you mind sharing a sample video so we can better assess the issue?
Were you able to complete the update for the camera?
If yes, try running a manual software update to correct any issues with the previous installation. https://gopro.com/update/hero7-black
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Re: Hero 7 Black, Video playback out of sync with audio
[ New ]Thanks for the reply!
I found play back is out of sync for any video settings that used the hvec h.265 format.
I have tried
- copying the files to my SDD for play back
- making sure windows 10 is running the right codec
The only way i could get them to play smooth was convert it from h.265 to h.264.
My Pc is a i7 with a geforce 750ti card , 2xsdd and 8gb of ram.
For comparison my the footage on my sondy fdr3000x at 4k 100mbits plays seamless.
Play back on the gopro it self is fine, as well as once its imported to iphone.
Any ideas on how i can get the original h.265 footage to play smooth?

Re: Hero 7 Black, Video playback out of sync with audio
[ New ]Probably your devices does not support the H.265 codec already. You say that the H.264 is not a problem. So there is your solution. Use it with the H.264 codec. Like always. People buy the newest gopro with the newest codec and resolution, but they forget that there other devices like, phone, laptop, pc,... cannot handle those massive files like it should be.
