Talk about a train of problems.
Bought my new Hero 7 Black yesterday, fully charged and updated via the Gopro app, no problems.
Wake up the next day after powering off Camera and battery is fully drained 100%-0%.
Look online realize this is a problem many people have. Trying to fix it by updating camera manually.
Page only allows you to download manual update files once you've registered your camera.
Input my information and email address, serial number won't process. Quad checked and rentered the number,
Any reason why my cameras serial key won't be registering on the website?

Interesting.. I was getting it from neither of those locations.
I was instructed to remove the battery pack and on the inside of the gopro is the serial key.
Its labeled as the serial key and is the proper format (14 digits/ matches the example)
Ill check the box first, after batteries charge ill check the in camera prefences index.
The instructions indicated the one in the battery slot, ill update if I find a key thats different from the one in my gopro...

Bummer. Very strange that it isn't working. Just to be sure, you are using this link https://gopro.com/update/hero7-black .
And, you are sure your camera is not:
HERO7 Silver https://gopro.com/update/hero7-silver
HERO7 White https://gopro.com/update/hero7-white
HERO6 Black https://gopro.com/update/hero6
HERO (2018) https://gopro.com/update/hero-2018
HERO5 Black https://gopro.com/update/hero5
You might want to try putting your serial number in each of the above camera manual update to see if it registers as one of those cameras.
