Hero 7 Black 256gb Micro SD card not formatting
[ New ]I’m Unable to get my go pro camera to format a brand new 256gb micro SD card
I updated the the GoPro with the latest software using an micro sd card at 64gb size (the one that comes with the Camera)
I have formatted the micro sd in ExFat as per the instructions from GoPro support
I’ve had my camera replaced now
I’m still have the same problem, the camera times out and does not format the card
Can we assume that ur camera can not take a 256gb card, can u please take a video and show everyone u formatting a Samsung evo plus card in the 10-15 mins u claim it takes
If the Fushion only takes a 128 gb card why does a black hero 7 take a bigger card?
Should I just accept this camera take 128 gb memory card

Re: Hero 7 Black 256gb Micro SD card not formatting
[ New ]Have you done a FULL (not quick) format of the SD card in your computer?
Just use the default settings.
Have you tried with a different SD card? It's much more likely that you have a bad SD card than it is that two HERO7 Black cameras are faulty.
How about exchanging the SD card?
Have you run a speed and storage capacity test on it? Plenty of utilities and YouTube videos to show you how.

Re: Hero 7 Black 256gb Micro SD card not formatting
[ New ]Hi have tried both card Evo + and EVO plus.
Have done the most complete version of formatting my card in ExFAT format.
These cards work flawlessly recording 4k video in my Sony camera, Samsung note 8 and in my Mac
256gb are expensive, if the camera does not accept 256gb cards, then I want to stop wasting my time with this.
The Fusion camera is rated to 128gb, the manual says 128gb....it is only the support team that suggests these cameras support 256gb.
Despite the support list suggesting it supports Samsung Evo Plus 256gb, is it may be that the camera simply can not?
Can some please advise a brand and model of 256gb MicroSD they have used that definitely works in the Hero Black 7 camera please?
And if it does please also show me a youtube video of you formatting the micro sd successfully being formatted by the camera so I stop wasting my time and money with buying various models of MicroSD cards

Re: Hero 7 Black 256gb Micro SD card not formatting
[ New ]I have tried 4 differing 256gb MicroSD cards. None of them work
I formated ExFAT in multitary grade 8 pass wipe on all of these and then a regular format (in ExFAT format) and none of these methods worked
I place a 128gb Extreme Card in to my GoPro Hero 7 Black camera and it worked first go.....and NO formatting
I stand by my comment 256gb cards do not work in the GoPro Hero 7 Black camera
