Hero 6 - Freezing & Corrupt File Structure - LOST ALL of my Vacation Videos

I recently purchased a brand new Hero 6 and took it on my vacation to the Bahamas. The Bahamas were beautiful, but the Hero 6 kept freezing. Every 3rd or 4th time trying to point and shoot it just locked up. That's not even the worst part, the worst part is the following: I LOST ALL OF MY VIDEOS from my vacation that were on the GoPro Hero 6. At some point the Hero 6 just decided that the videos were corrupt and it didn't matter what I did afterwards or which computer I plugged it into, the HD just simply didn't read after the GoPro decided the files on the camera were corrupt. Needless to say for $600 this is completely unacceptable. I will never get my vacation videos back, but I hope GoPro can take my garbage Hero6 back and refund my money. I don't care how cool the features on the GoPro Hero 6 are if it corrupts the files it takes. Here is an idea GoPro, please make focus on the integrity of your file structure before introducing any new gimmicky features. What's the point of all the cool features if you can't trust the camera to keep your files.

Re: Hero 6 - Freezing & Corrupt File Structure - LOST ALL of my Vacation Videos

@swiftcreek21437 - Sorry about all of that. If you reach out to our team at https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs, we can work with you to try and resolve this with you.

Typically, these types of issues are related to the memory used with the camera. Our newer cameras, and the HERO6 Black in particular, require an SD card that can keep up with it. A list of compatible cards for all of our cameras is posted at https://gopro.com/help/articles/Block/microSD-Card-Considerations.
