I am a bit confused as to what resolution the Hero 6 can playback on a 4k TV with the HDMI connection.
This page - https://gopro.com/help/articles/question_answer/can-my-gopro-camera-play-back-4k-content-on-a-4k-tv says "Playback up to 4K from recorded media" but many people on here seem to say its only 1080p.
If it can playback 4k does it play at full 50fps?
Do I need a HDMI 2.0 cable for 50fps? From what I've read HDMI 1.4 only does 4k @ 24fps but then I also read you didnt need to get new cables....

As listed on the link, you can playback 4K files but when doing a live preview 1080p will be utilized and 720p when doing a recording.
Name Brand HDMI cables, like the GoPro Micro HDMI, are recommended for use with GoPro cameras
