Hero 5 session reset

Hi, I've tryied to reset to factory setting my Hero 5 session, but the procedure described is not working. When I move to exit menu and I push slutter bottom, nothing happen. Is there any other way to reset the camera?

Factory Reset

  1. With your camera off, press the Menu button to turn on the status screen.
  2. Press the Menu button repeatedly until you get to Exit Menu.
  3. Press and hold Shutter button for 8 seconds.
  4. Press the Menu button to move to Yes, then press the Shutter button to select it.

NOTE: This resets camera defaults, date/time, camera username/password, and unregisters the device from your GoPro Plus account.

 

I have just tried the steps above on my HERO5 Session and was able to reset the camera completely.

Make sure to press on the shutter button for 8 seconds or until the reset prompts.

I am having the same problem.  when I press the shutter button for 8+ seconds, the display just shuts off and does not ask to reset
