I've been using water cameras (both action and DSLR) for years and never had a leak until using the GoPro Hero5.
The seals on the doors were clean and in place.
The doors were locked firmly in place.
I tested it twice.
It leaked both times.
That's why I returned the item.
The problem is not the users, the problem is the design and production of the GoPro Hero5.
Thank you for your advice though.

Just a little update:
I insisted in using my pretty unstable GoPro. A few days ago I was trying to make small videos (2-3 minutes), and it was able to keep them, at least for a hour or so. Then it froze again. I could access the videos and transfer to my computer. That's good.
Today I tried to turn it on again and ... it just left me! I can turn it on, even taking out the SD card and the battery and plugging it the charger. It is simply broken, and it broke overnight!!!! Incredible!
I am migrating to Xiaomi. It may not be the same thing... But a good camera is a camera that can be used.
It was my last comment here, GoPro lost another one .
