I have a gphero5 black. When I try to down load to my Samsung galaxy tablet it downloads in 3 formats, MP4, THM, and LRV. I can only view 1 format, MP4 so I lose 2/3's of my videos. What do I need to do to get all videos to download in MP4? If you say add a app to my tablet please tell me which one.
Thanks in advance,

You're not losing any of your video's. For every video (mp4) your GoPro records, it creates two extra files. 1 THM (thumbnail file for you to view a small picture of your clip) and an LRV (low resolution video for quickly streaming a preview of the clip you've recorded). Your Samsung Galaxy only uses the full hi-def video (mp4), however if you were to use your GoPro App, it would use the THM to display a thumbnail of the MP4 and use the LRV as a reference file for quickly editing the video.
This is all completely natural, nothing to worry about and you're not losing any clips.

I'm with @irishmanpdx on the two extra files (.thm and .lrv) created for every video (MP4) file when recording. These two files are necessary to support the Copy, Playback and Share functionality in the GoPro App, but will not be included once you download the videos to your mobile device.
