Hero 5 Water damage warranty

So I just went on vacation to Florida to get some awesome film. But when I was on a raft in the water, the go pro case legit opend and the go pro fell into the water. Im positive the case was fully closed and it just managed to pop open somehow. It worked for a little bit, but once I set it down for a while, the go pro wouldnt turn on or charge. I put it Go Pro directly into rice and its now charging perfectly, but when I try to turn it on, the go pro shows purple/green streaks, or just plain white. One other problem im having is that the red light that turns on when your charging your go pro wont turn off even when I'm not charging. I understand that go pro states that the warranty doesnt do anything for water damage, but is there something I will be able to do without buying a whole new go pro? Btw I do have a warranty from target that is still active.

water is not part of gopros  warranty  they will  only offer discounts equilt to a trade up that be 40% off a purchase and require you send back the cam

 

 this can be told by site people here why they directed you to support 

 

riced fast great but turning it on  notto great.   ribbon cable  may be with salt  or  water on and caused that  line.

The support team is honestly terrible. It takes them forever to respond, for example, I contacted them a week ago about this problem and still didnt hear anything back.
