Hero 5 Water Damage

My Hero 5 no longer turns on after some water damage. I've had it for over a year now. I thought this was water resistant up to 10 feet. I dont use up to that deep in water. The battery got wet and it may have short circuited the device, Im not really sure. I have attached some pictures. Any suggestions how to fix this?

Re: Hero 5 Water Damage

Hi @korinabianca

I am sorry to hear about what happened with your camera. So long as all camera doors are closed, the HERO5 Black is waterproof down to 10m (33ft) without a housing.

While water damaged cameras are usually not covered by the standard warranty, we still want to look into what happened. Please coordinate with our Support Team regarding this matter. They may also ask for other additional information to help us determine what we can do to extend our help.

You may reach them via phone or chat. https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs

Regards,

Ej
