Go Pro Hero 5 was not a HERO, because died after 10 minutes of snorkeling during my first day in Thailand, on january. Seems to be the same problem with the water inside the frontal lcd, like a lot of people already. 800 euros spent in a Hero 5 camera & accesories and I recorded my holiday with a 70 euros chinese camera. No more words to be said. Camera bought from Amazon Spain.

Return to Amazon.com you still ahve that time period, right?
Isee how water gets in due to the selicone not correctly sealed around the inside of the lens area. and especially the case of the camera. If GoPro made a O-ring and used bolts. you be that Hero.
Good luck sounds like we lost another Gopro person

It is not about the warranty, it is about those moments when we needed the camera! 16.000 km from home on a nice holiday and the camera took water inside...Waiting for a refund, and going for another brand. Started to sell all the accesories, the grip, 3 batteries, chargers and stuff, because I'm mad, so mad with this brand!

My Hero5 overheated and died first time I used it snorkelling too, lucky I also had a Hero4 with me. I just got it replaced at shop I bought it, but now I'm scared to use the new one underwater.
