I turned on my Capture software on on my Samsung Note 7 and it told me that there is an update for the camera.
So I connected the camera and it uploads the files to the camera and it says installing update and then it fails.
I have reset the camera and formatted the SD card and tried it again it stills fails.

Same problem here.
Also, i cannot play any recorded videos.
Not on the gopro nor on the capture app.
Since the update says : - improved playback capabilities, i really hope the update can solve the problem.

I tried some of the recommendations here - 100% charge, empty SD card - but it made no difference.
All I would get is the message "Updating... this may take a few minutes...", and even if I left it for hours, it still had the same message and whirring clock.
Then I tried again, for about the 6th time, and it worked almost instantly.

I changed my SD card and this solved the problem.
Appaerantly my sd card ( although it was a sandisk extreme 64GB ) was corrupt and the update couldn't be transferred to the Gopro.
After the change of SD, the update would work perfect.
