Re: Hero 5 USB/HDMI Door Defective

Disappointed.
1) The body of the GoPro hero 5 have scratch.
2) The door for the battery is hard to close.
3) The battery is stuck inside and not able to take out.

Re: Hero 5 USB/HDMI Door Defective

Just got my Hero 5

Sheeeeesh, that USB Door takes some opening. Does it get better with use?

Re: Hero 5 USB/HDMI Door Defective

@vstromtrooper - Yes, at least mine has loosened up some after several openings and closings. Because it has to be waterproof though, it's going to be tighter than the doors on the older cameras were.

Re: Hero 5 USB/HDMI Door Defective

I took the door off and reinstalled several times. It takes a touch. But just now, I went to remove it and it broke--the part that goes around the metal rod in the camera snapped.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only guy this has happened to. This is not the best design in the world.

Re: Hero 5 USB/HDMI Door Defective

Dod you get It fugured out? I had the exact issue. It seems to be paint overspray that gets on the slider licking it up. Once I got mine freed up I put a dot of vaseline on the sliding parts and it opens with one hand now.

Yes. Mine broke in just fine.
