Just attempted to use the QUIK application (ver 2.1.0) for the second time to update to the latest firmware for my Hero 5 Black. I again experienced the same problem that had previously occurred - stuck at 66%...I am using the following mirco micro SD card - SanDisk Extreme UHS-I 64GB (SDSDQXL-064G-A46A - 64GB). Unfortunately, your process to do a manual update does not work for myself on a macOS Sierra 10.12.3 platform as the operating system will not allow you to transfer files onto an exFAT formatted micro SD card (formatted using the GoPro camera). The workaround was then to use the Capture application on my iPhone. Could you please include this option on your support pages.

you need to take out the sdxc card to transfer files the camera only allows out bound transfers, not inbound transfers.. manual transferwit ha sd reader or adapter not the camera into a filefolder called UPDATE report back

@Anonymous there you go, I am not a Mac user but I try like said. enjoy.
I use a card reader it will allow permission to place on card. then using the camera as a card reader only

I finally was able to get the firmware to install after several attemps using the folder on the memory card method. My issue now is that with the app I can view through the camera but not trigger recording or view images from the camera.
