Hi Community and GoPro.
I am experiencing a similar problem. On occasion my GoPro would reach a certain rec duration and then will not progress. After pressing the shutter button the camera will freeze trying to save the file. I can only get it to respond while holding the mode and shutter button down for a while.
I have tried many cards from Samsung to Sandisk and this issue still occurs.
I have also experienced problems when importing my files to GoPro quick. The time taken to download is longer than when I first got the gopro and it also fails to automatically delete after importing.
What can I do?

Same here. Obviously an issue that needs to be addressed. Have to reboot to get the camera to respond again. Got this camera as part of GoPro's trade-up deal so I'm hoping it's not a dud.

Recently away on holiday when this same issue occurred to me, I used the camera for two days no issue with it. When I got back to hotel on the second day and connected to the wifi there was an update available I updated the camera as required. Now ever since I have had this issue with it freezing in the saving screen, I tried to use a fresh new ad card and had the same issue within 10 minutes. i tried everything to get it to work with no such luck it had completely ruined my holiday experience. Paying out top money for the best camera GoPro can offer and in return your left disappointed and let down.

had e same thing, mostly with videos, some times the Mode button is not responding and ther is no ather solution then to take out the battary (sometimes the video saves on the card!)
i don't know if it's the card problem, when i got my Gopro the official importer in my country he gave me an approved card of Gopro (sp micro sd xc 1, 64GB elite) and i'm sure that the problem is with the camera softwear because all of us having the same problem and we are using a different sd cards....
hope to see a new fix for it
