Hero 5 Black Will Not Loop at 5mins

My Hero5 Black will not loop at the 5min interval. It will do the 20 and all others above that, but when I select the 5min option, it still loops at 20mins. I have gone through all of the settings and even reset the camera and then set to loop mode again putting it to 5mins, but it still won’t do it.

 

I’ve also got the quick capture default mode set to Looping at 5mins, no luck.

Hello @travelfire. Re-flashing camera firmware (as opposed to camera reset) might help clear the issue. The instructions under Manual Update here will guide you through the process. More information about Looping is discussed in this article that you may refer to.

I will try the reflash and see what happens.

 

I read the article on looping prior to posting, but nothing helped. The camera itself even shows that it's on the 5min setting.

The process as described worked perfectly. Downloaded the files, put them on the card, updated the camera. That was all perfect. However, no-go on the 5min setting for looping. It will NOT loop at 5 mins. All other settings seem to work fine.

 

If I have it on 5min, it seems to not have a stopping point. For example, the most recent one went to 45min. If I change it to 20min, it will follow that pretty close (around 18min).

 

So...how do I fix this and get it to loop on 5min? Any idea why it isn't working?

 

I also changed SD cards...no luck, no change.

I did a test on the HERO5 Black and was able to get the correct loop.

Had chaptered files for 1 minute of the last 5 minutes of my recordings.

If you have ,anually updated the camera an it
