Hero 4

I have a hero 4 but the power button does not work. I set up a WiFi password and was able to turn it on that way and use it but now it says my WiFi password is invalid now.
I've used the same password on all three of my GoPros and now I'm stuck, can't reset it due to I can't power it on.
Is there any way I can get it reset or password sent to me without turning it on?
Do passwords revert to their original WiFi password if not used in a while? I bought these from a buddy 3 years ago and he gave me the WiFi password but now neither of us can remember his WiFi.

When you say you cannot power it on.

Do you mean the camera or bluetooth/Wi-Fi?

 

If you're referring to the Wireless Connection try to follow manual update steps posted here: https://gopro.com/help/articles/how_to/Software-Update-Instructions-for-HERO4-Cameras

 

Please make sure to follow manual update steps.

I mean power on. Power button does not work, i can turn the WiFi on with the side button and the screen shows it turns on and it flashes blue, I know it works but the WiFi says the password is wrong.

Hi @naturalflavored,

 

Try to reset is manually and if you can still use the front screen you can navigate and set it up.

 

Here's how to reset it. 

First reformat your SD card.

Next follow manual update steps: https://gopro.com/help/articles/how_to/Software-Update-Instructions-for-HERO4-Cameras

 

Follow the instruction and let us know if that will work.
