Re: Hero 4

Hi @quickwave8864

Fully charge your camera then have your SD card formatted through a computer.

Proceed with the manual update process again. Software Update Instructions for HERO4 Cameras

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks!

Re: Hero 4

I did that. The camera is now working. The odd thing is after putting the firmware on the newly formatted SD card and then inserting the SD card into the camera when I power to camera on it did not say update or anything like that. It just turned on as in normal operation. So I don't know if it actually took the update? Or if that's what I should expected to happen? I have remove the battery and reinstalled camera still works I have remove the SD card I put a different SD card camera still works. Should I assume everything is fine or is there something I'm missing?

Re: Hero 4

Hi @quickwave8864

Observe the camera and see if it will behave normal.

If the issue happens again, please go over the steps one more time.

The camera should indicate 1/2 then 2/2 to confirm that the update has been done.

Thanks!
