Worked the day before, and for two years. Unable to activate wifi via the long press on side button, nor any onscreen method. Reinstalled the firmware update manually 5 times without success. All other functions working.

I called Go Pro support, and skeptically walked through all the basic steps again with Marielle, suspecting that I knew the problem, and talking to her was just going to be a courtesy...I was WRONG. Ultimately, we again re-installed the firmware, DELETED THE CAMERA the Go Pro app was looking for, repaired to a NEW camera name and password, and voila...it actually worked. I was expecting that I had a hardware flaw, since the wifi was working the day before. So...there you go. Sometimes Support does actually know more than you!
