Hello, @christophe046. Which phone are you using and which OS is it on? Do you have the latest version of the app installed? Is your HERO4 camera updated to the latest firmware?

 

Try manually connecting to the camera's Wi-Fi network from your phone’s Wi-Fi settings. You can find the password by putting the camera in pairing mode, then hitting the Info button on the camera.

Got the Hero4 firmware up dated and that did the trick.  The camera and IPad are now communiticating.
