This is one of the more expensive pieces of junk I've owned. We've had nothing but problems but the new problem is fairly insurmountable. The camera will no longer charge while it's recording. We use it mostly to record softball games, and they're too long for one battery even if it's full. In the past we've just plugged in an external battery and we've been good to go. Lately, it will ONLY charge if it is powered off. If it is turned on, whether recording or not, it will not charge. So what's happening is we're missing the end of games, because the battery dies before it's over and we can't charge it up.
I tried chat support but they're always busy. Apparently they no longer offer email support, so my only option is to call and sit on hold. I'm very, very disappointed with both the camera and the customer service. In search of other brands that may be comparable but less quirky.

@quickrange47166 - Is there anything different about your setup - new GoPro battery, new external battery, etc? It's weird that this would just start happening unless one of the two batteries is having issues.

It's not the battery. We've tried 3 different batteries and they all do the same thing. I don't want to have to call and sit on hold but every time I try to chat, nobody is available. It just says it's going to connect me to someone, forever. I'd love some email support but apparently nobody does that. I am so never buying another GoPro product.
